Paris Olympics Invitation

Every Olympic year, Bell—Canada’s largest telco—invites its partners to join them in the host city as they cheer on Team Canada. With the 2024 Games in Paris, a city renowned for art, culture, and food, we set the tone through a tasting of the French capital’s most iconic confection: the macaron.

In partnership with Nadège, one of Toronto’s most prestigious patisserie, we developed five custom macarons, pairing the Olympic ring colours with a distinctly French flavour profile. When combined, the five macarons formed the five Olympic rings. From Brie de Meaux representing the blue ring to French 75 for yellow, the result was a window into the Paris Games and the city’s rich culinary culture and savoir-faire.

The package was designed as a clam-shell style box so it could be transported confidently across Canada without damaging the macarons. Additionally, the interior utilizes 9 layers of paper that were die cut in concentric rings to follow the curved shape of the macarons, keeping the coloured jam untouched and intact. Once the macaron is removed, the bottom layer displays the flavour of each macaron. All typography on the box used gold foil to reinforce the exclusivity and nature of the event.
