The challenge was to take this “escape busy life” mentality and bring it to life authentically across all touch points for visitors.

The goal was to drive continued interest and sell-out with guests and visitors of the space. We wanted to design an iconic motel with a unique personality and experience–and make it a go-to place for busy urban professionals looking for a break.

We know that people’s lives are full of “something”—work, dates, appointments, family, chores. So the brand played with the idea that “nothing” is a good thing. It is a break from reality and an opportunity to enjoy real rest.

“Come Enjoy Nothing” became the quiet, rallying cry for Lakeside Motel. Every touchpoint was designed to slow down time and allow busy, city folks to unwind, relax and recharge.

Through the design of the identity, the message was simple and effective enough to resonate to busy urban guests. With over 34K followers and growing on social, Lakeside was sold out during the high season, prompting management to plan for future expansions.
